About Me

We are a very close and fun loving family. We spend lots of time together but work commitments are challenging our time management. We are hoping to find someone able to bond with our boy and give him some 1:1 attention in our home while we are still working.

Our son attends a specialist ASD provision in newport where he has 1:1 support. He has a specific pick up/drop off time outside of the normal school start/finish so he can avoid crowds.

At home he requires very little support. He can fully attend to his own personal care and make himself drinks. Food is a different matter and, though he has been known to make a sandwich, this would need to be monitored and assisted with.
He is extremely smart and spends a lot of time on his computer playing games and watching youtube videos.
While he is mostly self sufficient, he does get anxious/ feel unsafe if he feels an adult is not present to be overseeing everything.
He does not like to go outside to strange places and changes in his routine can be challenging.
Mostly he is a charming, fun and very chatty young man with a very dry and cheeky sense of humour. He will only really engage in conversations about his topics of interest and will mildly bore you talking about these.
We are looking for someone he feels safe with, that will enjoy spending some time with him while we are still at work.
