About Me
Hello my name is Dawn I am 38. I have a degree in Early Childhood Studies and Sociology and have over 20 years of experience working with children in various roles and settings.
I Have an 11 year old son and 9 year old daughter. I am currently teaching assistant but am thinking about nannying.
I need to be able to my own children's school drop off and pick up.
I am fun loving and really enjoy working with children creating a fun and simulating environment for all ages.
My Experience
I am currently a TA within a foundation and keystage 1 class. Previously I childminded for 4 years after having worked in several nurseries. My last position before going on mat leave was as Deputy Manager and Room Leader of the babyroom, I have also been room leader of 2 pre-school rooms. I have worked with all ages in my role as bank staff.
I have experience of SEN and communicaing with other agencies to ensure the safeguarding of children.
I have also worked within the foundation unit of my local primary school and have experience with children upto the age of 18 through my roles within afterschool clubs and fire cadets.
I have a good knowledge of the EYFS from birth-5 and have supported other practitioners in training.
I have completed training in Inclusion,Sign language, partnership with parents, outdoor learning.
My Qualifications
I have a BA hons degree in Earlychildhood studies and Sociology
Pediatric First Aid,
Safeguarding children and young people.
My Availability
I currently am flexible and availble all day everyday but would prefer not to work fulltime so that I can have some one-to-one time with my son and daughter.
I would prefer term-time only but could do some cover in holidays if required but not Wednesdays.
