About Me

I am a mum of two teenage children and currently work part time at a local school where I teach a super class of Year 1 & 2 children. I possess excellent communication skills and pride myself on building and maintaining positive professional relationships with children and their parents. I am passionate about making a difference to children’s
lives, helping them to achieve their potential and become happy and confident learners.

My Experience

I have been a Primary school teacher for 27 years and have taught from Year 1 to Year 4 in a range of establishments from a small village primary school to a large 4 form city centre school. I have recent experience of the Year 1 Phonics Screening test and the Year 4 Multiplication Tables Check. I have been fortunate enough to work with children from a diverse range of backgrounds and have experience of planning and implementing lessons for pupils with SEN.

My Qualifications

I have a BA (Honours) degree in Primary Education with a specialism in English and I hold Qualified Teacher Status. I have a clean driving license and I also hold a current enhanced DBS certificate.

My Availability

I am available to tutor on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday after school and evening and Saturday morning.
