Hi everyone, I am Thea. I am a 20-year-old heading into my final year at University in Oxford studying criminology and criminal justice, with aspirations to become a criminal lawyer.
Being the eldest among my siblings and cousins, ranging from 3 to 12 years old, has instilled in me a deep sense of responsibility and care for children. I adore animals, caring for my two dogs and two cats.
My outgoing and sociable personality, along with my passion for art, photography, drama and music allows me to connect with children, encouraging their creativity and imagination in a fun and engaging way.
My Experience
I have been a swimming teaching assistant for 2 and a half years, working with children aged 2 to 14. I've had training in first aid, both in and out of the water, and I'm qualified to use a defibrillator. I'm also a certified lifeguard through the NPLQ. I've also taken baby classes in swimming teaching, including their first lessons without parents in the water. During my university breaks, I continued this work.
I've been a nanny on and off for the past 2 years, helping out during holidays when I'm home from university. I've been looking after a lovely little girl since she was 2 years old, spending the entire day with her. I absolutely love it and have enjoyed watching her little personality grow.
I have also been babysitting since the age of 16
Currently, I am looking for babysitting due to it fitting in with my part-time job and university work.
My Qualifications
I've got a solid background in safety and emergency response, holding a lifeguard and swimming teacher qualification that covers first aid, defibrillator use, and CPR. This training has prepared me to handle critical situations calmly and effectively. Plus, I've honed my skills in staying alert with children while they swim, learning how to handle situations if they start to struggle in the water. My ability to keep calm under pressure, paired with my commitment to assisting others, ensures that I have expertise within safety.
My Availability
My availability for babysitting is very flexible. I don't have many plans in the evenings, so I'm open to late-night hours without any issues. Since I work some days during the week, later evenings are more convenient for me.
