My Summary
About Me
I am energetic and enthusiastic individual who thrives for success in both my personal and professional life. After successfully graduating as a teacher from the university of Cambridge, I decided it would be beneficial for me to gain more life experiences, working with different families, as an au pair, of which I am still in contact with.
After having such fun and making treasured memories as an Au pair along with my skills of being a qualified teacher I feel I am a suitable candidate for many roles supporting children with a wide range of transferable skills. I am a quick learner and prepared to push myself to achieve a high standard of service and care. I recognise this as being a big responsibility looking after someone’s pride and joy, their children.
Being a fully qualified teacher practising for 3 years, I have now put my educational understanding into practice. It is such a rewarding job seeing how my teaching can have such a positive impact on a child, establishing their love for learning and enjoyment for education. I have an in depth understanding of the early years framework and national curriculum. I want to be able to share my skills of being a teacher and my bubbly personality with a family, where I can establish a long lasting rapport. My attention to detail, time organisation and punctuality have served me well in many job rules I have previously had, this is something I can apply to different professions.
In my personal life, I enjoy being outdoors, exploring and travelling to new places, cooking and baking, along with art when I have time and being creative. I also enjoy a book before bed. My love for the outdoors is evident in my scouting experience, where I have supported a scout group as an assistant leader and attending different camps.
Being a nanny, I recognise working in a team is imperative. I am a good listener, team player and also a team leader when needed, thinking on my feet and using my initiative. I hope the skills I have identified above, give a glimpse into the person I am. My love of working with younger children shows my caring, nurturing side where children feel safe and loved within their home and education.
My Experience
During my Au Pair experience, I home schooled a five-year-old girl during lockdown living with the family, who I am still in contact with and traveled to Barbados for their holiday. In addition, I worked closely with a family in Switzerland, returning on multiple occasions over the duration of two years and supporting their two boys while they travelled to the uk.
