About Me
I have over 12 years of experience in working with children. I am fun, caring and a trustworthy and reliable individual. I believe all children should have the best possible start in life and take great pleasure in enabling children to reach their milestones by learning through play. I enjoy creating fun, educational activities and strongly believe that children thrive from an outdoor environment and incorporate the Forest School method of teaching whenever possible.
I live with my husband, two children aged 15 and 17 and 2 cats in Southsea. I am happy to commute and have my own car.
My Experience
I have been an Ofsted registered nanny for over two years.
Prior to this I was an Ofsted registered Childminder for 10 years, achieving an Outstanding grade by Ofsted at my last inspection.
I have experience of caring for all children of all ages and have newborn experience. Having been a Childminder I am very used to caring for several children at a time.
Prior to having my own children and working in childcare, I worked in Office Management and Project Management roles.
My Qualifications
I have an enhanced DBS, a current paediatric first aid certificate and a Level 3 Diploma in Early Learning & Childcare. I have a full clean driving licence and regularly attend courses to enhance my childcare knowledge.
