My Experience

My experience with looking after my little brother who was 3 months at the time because my mum had to resume back to work, I was changing nappies, preparing feeds, washing and sorting out his clothes and having to entertaining him bearing in mind I was only 13 at the time and stepping in to be his mum while his mum was away. I often had to drop him to nursery, pick him up from nursery, take him to the park, push him in his buggy to go get shopping for the household and still manage to find time for my studies and myself in general. Now that he’s 8 yrs old he still looks up to me often wanting me to do activities with him such as drawing, painting and reading him bed time stories while he goes to sleep. We also share a bond that is very unique, loving and special. This experience has opened me up to be more caring, understanding and has prepared me mentally in order to look after other little ones which I still do with my cousins when I can.

By offering me a job in this field (looking and caring after children) I guarantee that I can give the best service and care to any child providing them with warmth, love and safety.
