About Me
I am 35 years old and I live alone in a 2 bedroom house with my 8 year old dog who is wonderful with children. I have a large front and back garden. I drive and have access to my own vehicle which is always kept in good condition. I work from home undertaking admin for a mortgage broker.
My Experience
I have an 18 year old son (resides 24/7 in a mental health unit) who has type 1 diabetes and severe mental health problems (ASD, ADHD and a Mixed Disorder of Conduct and Emotions) so I have a lot of experience with difficult behaviours, corresponding with professionals, physical health difficulties etc. As I don't drink, I am the go to babysitter in my family and friendship circle! I have also got 2 years experience as a Taxi Driver where I only took children with SEN to special needs schools - I had to have a DBS for this purpose.
My previous roles were PA to the Deputy Justices Clerk at Wycombe & Beaconsfield Magistrates' Court and PA to the Vice Chancellors Office at Bucks New University.
My Qualifications
I don't have any official childcare qualifications but I am working towards these as I intend to become a qualified childminder and Foster carer in the future. I have recently signed up with both compass fostering and Tiny Homes childminding who I will be undertaking my training with. I have a degree in Psychology, diploma in Criminology, 10 x GCSE's A-C grades.
My Availability
I tend to work from home from 9am-4pm but the start time can be flexible so I can be available for school drop offs, pick ups from after school clubs, evening babysitting, weekend babysitting and I am happy to attend weddings/events to provide childcare on site to allow parents to relax.
