My Experience

I have two younger sisters, both are 5+ years younger. My parents had to work a lot so I had to learn how to take care of them. When I was 7 I changed my sisters diaper for the first time, by 10 I was already cooking for them. When I was about 13, I was able to look after them at home on my own. Often, to keep them entertained, I would teach them how to crochet or draw. I would teach them games like chess and create games.

Additionally, I have cousins who I also had to look after. My parents run a family business with my aunties and uncles. As I was the oldest in my generation, I was tasked to look after them all. Thankfully most of them weren't too much trouble, though some of them would sometimes throw temper tantrums. To teach how to calm down, I would always say to them, "If you're angry, count to 10, if that doesn't work, do it again."

I've been looking after them all from when I was 7 till I had to leave them and go to Uni.

• Tutoring from £16.00 per hour
