My Summary

My Experience

- Professional work experience:

At a primary school, I worked in reception and year 3 in the summer of 2022. I sorted out conflict between the pupils, helped organise lesson planning and resources and carried out first aid when necessary. The teacher entrusted me with one-to-one learning support to help an EAL pupil who was very far behind in work as she just moved to the UK and didn’t know the language. With my help she became a lot more confident in her learning and in class, and the teacher saw good improvement in her class participation and work effort.

- I’ve had some experience working with children with special needs and autism too, at the school and at local holiday clubs I worked at since 2019.


- Babysitting:

I’ve looked after my little sister since she was a newborn. I changed her diapers, made her baby formula milk, knew what meals she needed and when the time was for her to switch baby purées for whole food.

- I didn’t allow her to watch too much TV, instead I read books to her and played with her . I followed her day and night regime well, putting her to sleep at the right times even though she was extremely upset and screaming sometimes. I was strict but showed a lot of affection too, answering her needs when she was crying and regularly checking her diaper for a change.

- Tutoring experience:

I’ve taught higher English, art and primary school level maths and science. I really did enjoy tutoring and I have a lot of patience with kids. In art we used all sorts of different mediums and materials to keep the small ones busy and for older kids we explored more advanced and detailed art techniques.

- I challenge the kids to think outside the box and write efficiently. With younger children and toddlers, we made up songs to and fun activities to remember information which they liked.
