About Me
I am a kind, motivated, and friendly person with experience in teaching, mentoring, and nannying.
I am an EFL teacher who has been working in a Spanish secondary school over the last academic year. I will be moving back to Wiltshire to live with my family this summer, and would like to continue to work with children in the local area.
In my free time, I enjoy creating art in all of its forms, at the moment I'm enjoying collaging with all the things I have collected over my last year living in Spain. I also enjoy learning languages, and cooking (only if I have enough time to wind down and take my time with it!). At the moment, I am studying Arabic, Portuguese and Galician! I'm looking forward to spending time in the English countryside this summer, going for long walks with my dog and exploring nature.
My Experience
I am currently an EFL teacher for Spanish secondary school children. My lessons encourage creativity, confidence and curiosity - all of which will be replicated in the childcare I offer in the UK.
Before graduating from university, I worked in various roles with young people. Firstly, as a MFL mentor for year 9's in South Wales. This role involved creating and delivering lessons which encouraged students to have a global mindset and be curious about other languages and culture. Alongside this, I completed training to complete a Level 4 qualification in 'Mentoring in a Languages Context'.
As well as this, I worked with Reaching Wider, an organisation which offers activities that encourage young carers to pursue their passions in Higher Education. Within this role, I would have full responsibility of groups of secondary school students on day trips and overnight stays.
Whilst on my year abroad at university, I was an after school nanny for primary school children in Barcelona. This involved, picking children up from school, preparing dinner and snacks, trips to the park, helping with homework and playing lots of fun activities!

I currently do not hold any qualifications which are specific to childcare in the UK. However, I feel my experience accounts for my credibility.
