My Summary
About Me
I’m currently studying for a degree in Children’s Learning and Development at university, with graduation just around the corner in July. I have a genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth and wellbeing.
I bring a wealth of hands-on experience through both paid roles and university placements. I’ve worked as a play worker in school and nursery settings, where I’ve supported children of various ages in both play-based and educational activities. These experiences have helped me develop a caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to childcare, ensuring that children feel safe, engaged, and happy in my care.
Whether it’s keeping little ones entertained, helping with routines, or just being a reliable and friendly presence, I’m committed to providing a high standard of care that parents can trust.

My Experience
I have a strong background in working with children across a variety of settings, which has given me a well-rounded understanding of their needs, development, and the importance of creating a safe, engaging environment.
I worked as a play worker during term time at a primary school’s after-school club, where I supported children through structured and free-play activities, helped with routines, and ensured a fun and secure space at the end of the school day. During school holidays, I continued this role at a local nursery, where I cared for younger children, assisted with daily routines, and led creative, play-based learning activities tailored to their age and stage of development.
As part of my university degree in Children’s Learning and Development, I have completed three placements, two in primary schools and one in a nursery. These experiences allowed me to observe and participate in the educational and emotional development of children, and further developed my skills in communication, behaviour support, and child-centred practice.
I recently completed my dissertation focusing on children’s mental health and how it is often overlooked by adults. This research has deepened my understanding of the emotional needs of children and highlighted the importance of early intervention and supportive adult relationships.
Alongside my studies, I currently work part-time as a care assistant, providing support to adults in their own homes. While this role is not directly related to childcare, it has strengthened my ability to provide responsible, compassionate care and respond sensitively to the needs of others - qualities I carry into all aspects of my work.
These varied experiences have shaped me into a dependable, patient, and caring individual with a genuine passion for supporting children’s wellbeing and development.

Addy looked after my son (6) last night, he thought she was fantastic. She arrived on time. I just asked Charlie how the sitter was and he said I rate her 5 stars 🤣🤣
