I have a diverse background in childcare, having worked with children of various ages in both France and London. I started my journey in childcare by working in three primary schools in France, where I also took on a nanny role for a 4-year-old and a 6-month-old. Later, I spent a summer working in a nursery in London and subsequently worked in a primary school. Children warm up to me easily, and I am known for being organized, patient, and always punctual. Academically, I hold a degree in French and Politics and am currently pursuing a master's in child psychology to deepen my understanding of child development. Additionally, I tutor English and hold a TEFL license.
My Experience
I have extensive experience in childcare, starting with my work in three primary schools in France, where I interacted with nursery and primary school children, as a teacher of English. Also taking on after school roles in child development classes. In France, I also served as a nanny for a 4-year-old and a 6-month-old, gaining hands-on experience with younger children and their routines. I would prepare and take them to school, and look after their needs after school, cooking, washing and drying clothes, reading books and doing homework. After returning to London, I worked in a nursery over the summer, and later in the year at a primary school and a secondary school as a teacher, training to teach as a qualified French language teacher. I studied and trained at UCL university, where I continued to develop my skills in managing and engaging with children, as well as being a full time teacher and student. My ability to connect with children quickly, along with my organisational skills and patience, has been consistently appreciated by both children and parents in all educational settings.
My Qualifications
I hold a joint honours degree in French and Politics from an Russel Group University, and I am currently pursuing a master's degree in child psychology, which allows me to bring a deeper understanding of child development to my role. I have also professionally trained as a teacher of French with UCL university. Additionally, I hold a TEFL license, which qualifies me to tutor English. I also have a valid DBS check and strong references from my previous roles in childcare and teaching, ensuring my suitability and trustworthiness for this position.
