Hello Parents and Guardians,
My name is Kelly, I am a new childminder (awaiting my ofsted registration hopfully by sept/oct 2024) with my own children. Oliver born October 2020 and Mila born April 2023. We live on Birkbeck road in Sidcup.
Oliver will be attending Birkbeck primary school from September 2024 and I would like to offer afterschool care for 5+ year olds. I can help with homework and offer a light tea as well as providing a chilled out wind down area with toys and green space a plenty. I will also offer ad-hoc care in the school holidays on a pre arranged basis.
Mila and I will also be very excited for other little ones to join us during the day so we can go on lots of adventures together to playgroups, parks, for nature walks and to share our lovely toys and garden space. We have a large garden with playhouse, sandpit, water tray, swings, slide and nature area. I will be able to offer the 9month + funding
I am a non driver but am very confident using public transport when needed. I have a double pushchair with buggy board.
I am a gentle but firm person who values good manners and learning through play and experience. I love taking the children in my care to the park, woods, farms, any green space I can find really.
Letting them explore and learn through the environment and their senses. We are an environmentally friendly family and love growing our own fruit and vegetable in our garden and at our allotment. From this I enjoy cooking home cooked healthy meals as often as I can. I believe I am a fun, happy and energetic person who can provide responsive and stimulating care.
I am sometimes the crazy lady you will see playing peekaboo in the supermarket or singing out loud walking down a street to calm an upset child. The children are my number one priority and I don't embarace easily.
I have been a professional Nanny working in Blackheath and Greenwich for a decade and previous to this I have worked in private schools and day nurseries. I come highly recommended (so my employers say) and I have great checkable references.
My partner Mike works from home most of the time and has a dedicated office in the loft conversion. He is CRB checked and a wonderful daddy to our little pickles. He would be more than happy to meet any of my prospective clients so you can have full disclosure of who will be in the property and so that you are 100% happy with your choice of childcare setting for your children.

My Experience
My interest in childcare was sparked at the age of 14 when I began babysitting for local families in my little village in Norfolk. From this I decided to qualify in childcare and then moved in to day nursery care.
At 19 I made the big move to London and worked in a day nursery in Lee for 4 years. I then went to work in a private school in Blackheath for a further 4 years. Whilst working here I did a lot of holiday cover for the local families and baby sitting and realised how much I enjoyed the 1:1 focused care I could provide and decided to become a private nanny so I could support family's through the younger years of raising their children and providing the best possible care for babies and young children. I have been a private nanny for the last 10 years and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Upon having my own children I feel it is time for another change of direction and to work more closely around my little ones. I look forward to becoming a childminder and am very excited to continue to provide top notch childcare to the local families of Sidcup.
