About Me
Hi, my name is Ruth and I'm a newly registered childminder (with ofsted) for little ones aged 0 + years, offering term time care. I am a mummy to 6 beautiful humans and wife to my wonderful husband Dave who is a secondary school teacher.
I aim to provide a safe and nurturing home from home environment, with our play and learning largely based on nature and the world around us.
We have an open plan layout plus a dedicated play room, with easy access to a good sized enclosed garden including vegetable patches for growing, exploring and learning. We will explore the local area as much as possible. I have a full, clean driving license and use rear facing car seats only.
I am based in Newport, Barnstaple and offer after school provision and pick ups from Newport community school.
My Experience
As well as my own children, I have experience working with children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. In addition, I have lots of experience forming positive relationships with parents. I have worked in primary and secondary schools and I have also worked as a homelessness prevention worker for young people within the Children's Society.
I can't wait to start my journey with your special little people.
