About Me
After working as a private nanny for almost 3 years, I have ample experience when it comes to looking after children. With the children I cared for now at school full-time, I am looking to extend my services into the teaching side of childcare too. I am a very capable individual, who has a passion for learning and, in turn, for also helping to teach the next generation. Having done well in my GCSE's and A-Levels at a very academic school, I am well equipped to teach a variety of subjects. In particular, History, Art, and Maths. I believe in making the process of learning more applicable to the individual and, more often than not, creating a fun experience for the child, rather than them having to sit through another mundane lesson.
In terms of nannying and babysitting, I am also offering my services. Having grown up in a big family, my teenage and young adult years have been centred around young children, making the job second-nature. I am available for day-time and evening nannying.
My Experience
I have been a nanny in London for almost 3 years, looking after 2 young girls now aged 7 and 4. I originally got the job through the nannying agency called Seymour Sisters who also gave me various other ad-hoc nannying work. However, I devoted most of my to one family where I was entrusted to pick the girls up from school, take them home on public transport, and cook their evening meal. I am still connected with the family however with both girls being in school full-time I am much more available for extra tutoring and babysitting.
Previous to my nannying in London, I worked down in Hampshire as a nanny to a family of 4. With ages ranging from a newborn to 8 years old, this gave me valuable experience in handling the pressures of childcare. I was once again entrusted to care for the children in their day to day routine, whilst also helping the younger 2 and a half year old to begin their educational journey with fun games etc.
In the summer of 2023, I assisted in an after-school club called Magical Maths where we went to primary schools around London and taught Maths in an innovative way through educational games and play. This was to KS1 and KS3.
