My Experience

2018-2019: Part-time nanny for family with 2 children (London)
1 child under 5 and 1 child under 2.
I was responsible for getting the children to and from school, ensuring that their pre and post school environment was calm, enriching and healthy. We cooked together, played with Montessori-orientated toys, and listened to a range of music together which we talked about in a meaningful way. We also occasionally went on trips out of the home - we enjoying going to a children's zoo and soft play. I really valued this job, and felt very happy in this family. We still keep in touch now!

2014-2018: Local babysitter (Birmingham)
5 families with children ranging in age from 2 - 11
I was a babysitter for families in my local area, working primarily in the evenings. Depending on the family, I was responsible for preparing dinner, getting the children ready for bed, and checking on them during the night. I was always highly praised by the families I worked for, and formed really positive relationships with the children.

2013-2014: Volunteer teaching assistant (Birmingham)
SLD Secondary school, working with year 10 age children
I volunteered as a TA at a school which provides comprehensive education for children with severe learning difficulties. The class sizes were small, usually less than 12 children per group. This experience was really fantastic, and I gained many skills in this role. I truly enhanced my understanding of ways in which SLD children learn, and was taught how to manage sometimes challenging behaviours. Many of the children experienced more than one learning difficulty, and this resulted in a deeper understanding of learning styles.

My Qualifications

I am willing to undertake qualifications in child safeguarding, child first aid and baby first aid. Please do enquire if you have specific online qualifications in mind.

My Availability

I am relatively flexible with my availability. I do have some commitments in my diary, but I am always happy to talk these through with any potential clients.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
• Nannying from £10.00 per hour (gross)

I operate minimum call times, and will always discuss these with clients prior to any work being undertaken.

Within a 30 minute walk of my home base, minimum call is 2 hours.
Above a 30 minute walk, I will typically use public transport, with call times based on the following:
15 minute journey - minimum call of 2.5 hours.
30 minute journey - minimum call of 3 hours.
45 minute journey - minimum call of 3.5 hours.
1 hour journey - minimum call of 4 hours.
