Hi there! I’m a first-time single mum to an adorable 8-month-old baby boy, living in North Acton (W3 postcode). I’m currently in the final stages of my doctoral program, and I’m looking for affordable, reliable childcare to help me focus on my studies.
As I don’t drive, I’m seeking a part-time childminding service nearby, ideally within walking distance or easily accessible by public transport. I’m looking for care 2 days a week, and flexibility would be a huge plus as my study schedule can vary.
My Requirements
I’m looking for an experienced, patient childminder who can provide nurturing care for my 8-month-old son, who is currently going through a separation anxiety phase. It’s important that the person can establish a warm and safe bond with him, while keeping me updated regularly on how he’s doing throughout the day.
I spend a lot of time engaging with my son through play and learning activities, and I’d love for someone who can be creative in stimulating his curiosity and development. Whether it's reading, singing (which he loves), or engaging him in sensory activities, I want someone who will make his time enjoyable and enriching. Additionally, taking him outdoors for some fresh air (weather permitting) is important to me, so someone comfortable with short walks or outdoor play nearby is ideal.
The childminder must be fully qualified, with an excellent level of English to communicate with both me and my son, particularly as reading and singing are an important part of his routine.
