About Me
Hello, I’m Barbi, a dedicated and fully registered childminder, and I am delighted to welcome you to Poppy Nursery & Daycare! Based in Manor Top, Sheffield (S2), I’ve created a warm and engaging home environment where children can feel comfortable, safe, and encouraged to explore and learn. My husband and I run our nursery together, alongside our loving family dog, Princess Poppy, who brings a special joy to our setting.
As native Hungarian speakers, we also offer support in language development, including Hungarian and basic German for families who would like it. We’re committed to providing high-quality, personalized care that fosters each child’s unique growth.
My Experience
I bring a wealth of experience to my role at Poppy Nursery & Daycare. I have worked as an Early Years Practitioner in nurseries and as a Teaching Assistant in primary schools, where I have developed extensive skills in supporting young children’s learning and development. I also have experience working with children who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), and I am committed to creating a supportive environment that values each child’s individuality. My qualifications in early childhood education and paediatric first aid ensure that every child in our care benefits from a safe, nurturing, and enriching experience tailored to their needs.

My Availability
Our planned opening hours are 8 am to 5:30 pm. However, if families need additional childcare outside of these hours, we’re happy to accommodate their needs whenever possible.
We are also pleased to offer school pick-ups from Prince Edward Primary School and Woodthorpe Primary School, providing a seamless transition from school to our nurturing environment.

- Babysitting from £13.00 per hour
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
At Poppy Nursery & Daycare, our fees are as follows:
Childminding: £6 per hour, per child
Babysitting: £13 per hour
