Hi there,
my name is Linda and I am the mother to my wonderful 9 year old daughter as well as a stepmom to 3 boys, one of which is on the autism spectrum. I am currently doing the school run for my neighbour's daughter to Gilbert Colvin school and am happy to take on additional children who attend the same school.
I enjoy being around kids and love seeing them thrive and develop, make new experiences and conquer their fears. I would say I am a well balanced parent, I am neither authoritative nor permissive. I am easygoing but I have set boundaries and equally respect a child's boundaries and their individual personalities.
I grew up in a rural area in Germany and hence love to spend time outdoors especially during the warmer months and you can find me cycling to local parks solo and with kids as well as exploring nearby farms, parks and playgrounds with the kids or have them splash about in the fountains in Waltham Forest and Olympic Park. On a gloomy day I enjoy playing board games with the kids.
I can offer daytime babysitting as well as afterschool care on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and some Thursdays in the Clayhall area.
I can offer German tutoring as well.
My Experience
I have four children at home over the weekend (shared custody). I do school runs for my neighbour's daughter, have been volunteering for my daughter's school trips and did an internship in a nursery in Germany.
My Qualifications
A levels & apprenticeship as European Management Assistant in Germany
My Availability
I am available for afterschool and evening care on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and some Thursdays.
On Fridays and every other Thursdays I need to pick up my own daughter which is why I am unavailable.
If you have young preschool children or a baby and don't mind me taking them along to my daughter's school I am happy to look after them even on Thursdays and Fridays after school as my daughter loves young children. She particularly dotes on babies.
