About Me
We are a family of three, soon to be four in September. We live in Four Oaks and love keeping our one year old daughter busy with walks in the park, play dates with other kids, soft play, visits to the farm and Zoo’s. As I am reaching my third trimester, I would like my daughter to settle into a routine with a like minded childminder, so when our second daughter arrives, her world isn't shaken up too much.
My Requirements
We try to live by the Montessori way of up bringing with our daughter. Montessori parenting is an approach to raising children that focuses on providing them with nurturing, comfort, and freedom whilst also maintaining healthy limits and consistency. It encourages parents to provide their children with the opportunity to learn through exploration and discovery in a safe environment, we hope we can find a child minder who follows these values. Our daughter hasn’t been exposed to any screen time on the television or iPad/ iPhone, we rather she plays, explores, reads books and listens to music. An additional benefit would be if the childminder was able to speak to our daughter in a foreign language as I want her to be exposed to new cultures and languages as much as possible.
