About Me
Hi I’m Georgina , a qualified Early Years specialist teacher (0-7) and passionate about the holistic wellbeing of little ones .
My love of books, play-based learning and having fun , shines through with little learners and I encourage them to ‘reach for the stars’ as an advocate of emotional wellbeing .
I have a wide range of experience within the Early Years , having a background as a nursery practitioner, teaching assistant and Early Years Teacher predominantly with 3-5 year olds. I left my large Nursery classroom last year to become qualified as a counsellor . Learning never stops , and is everywhere and this is what I instil from an early age with my little learners .
I am specifically going to be offering early years tutoring sessions with the focus being on the prime areas of the EYFS - as these are of the utmost importance and what is classed as ‘school readiness’ . I can also assist with pre-reading skills , early writing and number through a play-based approach . I will bring what I planned in my classrooms , to your home on a one-to-one basis covering all areas of the curriculum through a topic of your child’s choice , or a book of interest (all good learning starts from a story) !
I am also offering mindfulness and emotional based sessions which from next month can include reiki . I am qualified in meditation and breathwork and have used this effectively in my classrooms .
My Experience
My experience with young children spans from working in holiday clubs and as part time staff in nurseries during my university degree of studying Early Childhood Studies (0-5) . I have also babysat and looked after children during the daytime during this time .
I then became a teaching assistant and worked whole class and 1-1 in the Early Years .
I trained to become a teacher qualifying with my QTS specialising in (3-7) .
I have since worked in a variety of schools- big and small in various areas as a class teacher in Reception and Nursery .
Having left the classroom last academic year , I am gaining a qualification in therapy and wish to become a therapist as I change career .
While I am training I would love to utilise my experience and skills to work in a setting that encompasses looking after the holistic child - outside of the classroom on a one-to-one / smaller group level .
My background has enabled me with the knowledge and experience to enrich how young children experience the world .
I am often told I am calm and caring and I build up relationships with parents and all the children I have taught and cared for .
My experience of planning for lots of different children in a variety of ways has always brought me joy . The Early Years is the best for this kind of learning whereby through play , everything comes together !

PGCE Early Years with QTS (3-7)

My fees are based on a session whereby we will explore a few activities within a short time - as suitable for your child .
