About Me
We have two beautiful girls aged 6 and 5 years old. Both girls have a diagnosis of autism and global developmental delay and have limited communication. They are very different in their characters, one is really kind and calm, the other one is also kind but can be a bit of a rascal ? we are both working parents and have no family around to help. Both girls go to Hazelhead school and nursery and we are looking for someone who can help with looking after both girls for a few hours at a time after school and nursery (12:30pm onwards). We are currently still trying to work around the hours of nursery and school and are pretty flexible with days etc. we would also appreciate help over the summer when school is shut. (Nursery will remain open for the morning sessions).
We consider any help whether this is someone who can pick them up and take them to our house or keep them at their house. Both girls are ok with other children however the older one can get overwhelmed when it's too busy. Just like a lot of children with autism mine have no road traffic awareness and this is something that they need additional support with. I am happy to talk more in person and take some time to introduce the girls to whoever feels they could help out with our girls.
My Requirements
We are looking for help after school and nursery. Nursery is currently only till 12:30pm and my older one who is at P1 gets reduced hours at school as it can be too busy for her. Pick ups from Hazelhead school and nursery would be ideal. But we can help with that. Looking for either help in our house or childminding at someone else's house for a few hours to free up time for us to work. We are also looking for help in the school holidays for mornings for my older girl and possibly a couple of afternoons for both girls. But again we are very flexible and just putting our feelers out to see what is available and how we can get support.
