My Experience

I have always been praised by others about how ‘good’ I am with children, which has always felt like a strange compliment because it comes so easy to me, therefore making my early entrance into childcare a no brainer. I left school and went to collage to study my NVQ Level 2 in childcare, then worked in some day nurseries before I fell into the most wonderful preschool environment job for my early working years, the experience and what I learnt whilst working there set the foundations for the work I now do, I worked with age ranges from 2 years old to 11 years old, we ran a lunch club and an afterschool club, I completed my NVQ Level 3 in placement while working there.

I went on to become a private Nanny and have been lucky enough to work with 3 incredible families over the last 10 years, with experience of ages 12months +. All of which hold a special place in mine and my childrens hearts as they have grown up together, I feel very blessed to now call these families our life long friends.

I am incredibly proud to announce I recently passed my registration visit and am now Ofsted registered!

With approx 16 years of childcare behind me now, the move into Childminding is one that has felt most natural and exciting, working well for my own family, whilst providing care for local children, watching children learn and develop is a privilege that I do not take for granted.

I follow a therapeutic parenting approach and I am a huge advocate on emotional wellbeing. I always care for children how I would like my own children to be cared for; with this in mind I offer a home from home experience - allowing children to feel comfortable in the setting and around my presence.

I am looking forward to starting this new journey and challenge, using everything I have learned over the years not only as a childcare provider, but also as a parent.

My Availability

My opening times are;

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
9am - 5pm

I have local connections to Southcott Lower School, and offer Tilsworth Montessori School pick up.
