I am an experienced Primary and Secondary Educator currently teaching at a local Primary School. I am also skilled at teaching coding and robotics.
My Experience
My experience in both public and independent schools has given me the opportunity to be involved in a range of teaching practices that align with the constructivist model of learning. This allows children to be engaged contributors in their daily learning.
It’s vital for us as educators to maximize the school’s vision of developing critical thinking and instilling a deep sense of curiosity, achieved through experiential learning within the school. After all, ideas are the currency of the 21st century.
I am passionate about helping children and teachers develop a love for mathematics through the Singapore Math approach. This concrete, pictorial abstract approach equips children with concepts that make learning mathematics fun and exciting whilst introducing mathematical concepts to suit a range of cognitive levels.
My Qualifications
UK Equivalent Bachelor Degree in Education from the University of Witwatersrand. Specializing in Mathematics, Sciences and the Humanities.
My Availability
I am available on Tuesday and Thursday evenings as well as Saturday mornings.
