About Me

Throughout the years, I have enjoyed teaching children from Nursery to Year 6 as well as Key Stage Three. As a consequence of my time training and teaching, I have had the pleasure to support and teach children who were diagnosed with ADHD, ASD traits, Visual impairment – Nystagmus as well as selective mutism.

My background consists of studying and completing my BA degree in Primary Education Specialising in KS2 Modern Foreing Languages. I completed my NQT year in July 2016 and I am a fully qualified teacher. Throughout my experiences of working within the education sector, I have learned a range of approaches and strategies to engage children’s interest and manage behaviour effectively and understand the importance of exceeding expectations within a working environment.

I am extremely hardworking and dedicated in all that I do - striving for growth in all areas of my life. I am also a very proud mother and treasure family time. Furthermore, I am bilingual as I speak and write fluent Portuguese in addition to English and have always had an interest in languages. Although I have not quite been able to carry on with my studies of French, this is something that I hope to get back to in the future. Additionally, linguistics and speech therapy is something that I am looking to learn and experience in the future.

I believe that every child is unique and can flourish within the right environment. Nurturing each child’s uniqueness is key for their own growth and building confidence.
