Hi I'm Courtney, a highly experienced and qualified teacher. I have over 5 years experience working with children and exemplary references. I hold a degree in primary education with QTS, as well as a level 3 diploma in childcare and education. I also currently work as a supply teacher for vision for education.
I am a fun and energetic person that believes that consistency and a positive approach to behaviour is the way forward. I've cared for so many different and wonderful children over the years and have the skills and strategies to deal with a range of challenging and unchallenging situations. As your nanny, I would provide the best possible care in your absence and offer lots of activities to meet your child's needs throughout the day. I'm very resourceful and can use just about anything for entertainment and learning. I also feel its important to support the family in general, so if you wanted to lighten your load by giving me chores to do (if the children allow me the time) I really don't mind, I'm here to make it easier for you.
I have an an up to date DBS check as I have needed this to work as a teacher for vision for education.
My Experience
I have always enjoyed working with children. I took a GCSE and did my A levels in childcare. This enabled me to work in multiple settings on placement and get lots of experience.
I have worked in a private nursery with babies, toddlers and pre school children for 2 years alongside studying at university to become a primary school teacher. I recently qualified last year and have been doing supply work in primary schools and I am looking to care for children in the summer holidays and after school currently :)
