About Me
I am a highly skilled individual who has worked as a tutor in the past to most age ranges. I've worked in primary school as well and have excellent skills that I learnt through my experience there. I supported children in class with either 1:1 support, or whole class support in all different core subjects or curricular activities. I'm a great tutor, and a firm believer that a child learns well through play and what they experience around them. I'm also a published author, and writing my second novel. Plus, I have tutored young children in KS2 upto adults studying their degrees. I am a friendly individual, easy to get along with but always aim to get the best work out of my students. I am also a mother of four but now only have one child at home.
I am willing to offer online or face to face tutoring as long as it's local. I can support primary age children with their Maths and English work, but as I have studied Creative Arts I would also love to tutor creative writing to older children. My main strengthes are: creative writing, English, History, Cooking lessons.
I also have vast experience knowledge and skills of working with children and young to older adults who have disabilities like visual impairment or autism.
My Experience
I have many memorable experiences of tutoring children, or supporting them in a classroom setting. And I truly will treasure these memories forever of all the fun activities we did together, and at the same time the children learnt something new.
I learnt so much from supporting children with special needs too, and although I was giving them valuable support, these children that I worked with had big hearts and showed such bravery at times, which in effect humbled me.
My Qualifications
I am currently studying a BA Hons in Criminology and Sociology but have studied 2 years degree work elsewhere in Creative Arts, NLP and Mentoring.
My Availability
I am available for work Mon-Fri upto 16 hours every week. I don't work on weekends, but will work during school holidays or bank holidays.
