About Me
Im Lizzie, and I offer a cosy, home from home setting where your little ones can learn without knowing it. I am part of the Forest Childcare Association, which focus' on ensuring that the little ones get lots of opportunities to explore outside in nature as much as possible.
Our days follow the little ones interests and some of the things we get up to include playgroups, visiting the library, local nature walks, going to Wheelgate, teddy bear picnics, lots of crafts and messy play, singing, yoga and reading.
I follow the danish principles of Hygge within the setting which focus’s on warmth, security and wellbeing, allowing a child to follow their current needs and interests in order to learn and grow with confidence. I also follow the curiosity approach.
In our home is myself, my husband, our three girls 8, 6 and 4, Douglas the cat then Luna and Pepper the two kittens. Our pets all love kids and the children are all taught to be gentle with them.
My Experience
I've been a mum for 8 years now, and I've been lucky enough to spend 5 of those at home with my girls. I’ve previously worked with children on a voluntary basis as well as a number of years as a babysitter.
I'm currently studying for my degree in child psychology as well as my level 3 qualification.

My Availability
I'm available Monday to Thursday 8am -5pm, Fridays 8am - 4pm with term time only spaces and some limited all year spaces for birth to 5 years.
I accept various funding options including the new government funding from 9 months old, tax free childcare & student finance. If you're unsure please just ask.
