Hello everyone!
My name is Georgie, I'm 24 years old and from a small village just outside Much Wenlock - in between Much Wenlock and Church Stretton. I am currently qualified in the animal care industry (specifically horses), however, I am now currently searching for some work with children and potentially complete a childcare qualification. In the (hopefully not too distant) future, I hope to be able to set up my own business where I can combine both my love of animals and children - teaching them basic animal care skills.
In my spare time I love helping to care for and entertain my two younger cousins (aged 4 & 7) when possible, playing with and caring for and going for walks with my Golden Retriever (Buddy) and going on fun day trips such as National Trust places and also indoor activities such as swimming, bowling or the cinema. Doing these sorts of fun activities is also something I hope to be able to incorporate into my childcare services. As well as this, I also love baking cakes, biscuits and cupcakes and, when possible, enjoy cooking meals such as salmon and vegetables and pasta dishes.
Although I don't drive, I am available to care for children at any homes within the Much Wenlock and Church Stretton and surrounding area and can also do the afternoon school pickup if your home is a walkable location from the school or nursery.
I also currently have my own dog walking and pet care service for owners going away on holiday or long day trips or just simply working late etc. This means I would also be happy to care for any pets such as horses, dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs, as and when required.
My Experience
I have had previous work experience at a local pre-school where a typical day would involve me interacting with and supervising the children during break times and lunch times, creating my own fun games and activities for the children to play, assisting the other staff members to prepare healthy snacks for the children and supervising the children during PE lessons.
Since finishing my work placement at the pre-school I have had regular experience interacting with children of all ages from as young as 3 years old, working at two local riding stables where a typical day involves me leading the ponies during riding lessons and interacting with the children while they're in the saddle. I also do yard-based activities with children such as teaching them how to safely groom a pony and how to safely feed a pony.
My Qualifications
Currently I am not qualified in childcare however I hope to complete a childcare qualification either online or at a nursery/pre-school in the near future. I am however qualified in animal care and hope to set up my own business in the near future where I can combine my love of both children and animals.
My Availability
Currently I am available all day on a Monday and Wednesday and Tuesday & Friday afternoons and evenings however with a few weeks notice this could be changed to all day availability on a Tuesday & Friday. I could also potentially be available on weekends however this would require a few days notice in advance.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
For locations in the Much Wenlock and surrounding area my rate would be £12 per hour. For locations slightly further away in the Church Stretton and surrounding area my rate would be £15 per hour to cover travel costs.
