Music has always been a huge passion of mine, and I am thrilled to have recently graduated from Leeds Conservatoire with a degree in music. My time at the conservatoire has truly shaped me as a musician and has equipped me with the necessary skills and knowledge to pursue a career in teaching.
I have always been drawn to the idea of sharing my love for music with others, and my experience working at Weetwood Primary School’s afterschool club has only solidified that passion. Interacting with children and fostering their creativity and love for music has been incredibly rewarding, and I hope to continue doing so in a more formalized teaching setting in the future.
In addition to my work at the school, I have also gained valuable experience working at a retail store, Next. This experience has taught me invaluable skills such as communication, organization, and time management, all of which I believe are essential in the field of education.
My Experience
Volunteering at Knaresborough in the music department and running the after school program at Weetwood Primary School have both been incredibly rewarding experiences for me. These opportunities have allowed me to combine my passion for music with my love for working with children, and I have found great joy in being able to share my skills and knowledge with others.
