About Me
My name is Kavannaugh, and I have just relocated to the UK from New Zealand. I am ideally looking for a part time or full time position, with a maximum of 45 hours per week as a nanny. I am looking for a fun and friendly family who will be excited for me to slot into their lives. I am open to travelling with families, but also equally happy to be working just within London. I am flexible and adaptable, and can handle stressful situations very well, thanks to my paediatric nursing experience!
My Experience
In my previous role as a Registered Paediatric Nurse in Auckland, New Zealand, I have had the privilege of caring for children of varying ages, from infancy to adolescence. My responsibilities have included administering medical care, monitoring developmental milestones, and ensuring the well-being of each child under my care. I also hold a current CPR and first aid certificate for both adults and children. This experience has equipped me with the skills necessary to address the unique needs and challenges that arise in childcare settings.
Additionally, my previous experience as a nanny, while studying to be a nurse, for two families over 3-4 years has provided me with the skills of managing a household as a housekeeper/nanny and fostering a nurturing environment for children. From preparing meals for the children to facilitating educational activities and managing household tasks, I am skilled at balancing multiple responsibilities while prioritising the safety and happiness of the children in my care.
My Qualifications
I studied a Bachelor of Health Science (Nursing) at Auckland University of Technology, and have been a registered nurse in New Zealand for almost three years. I have worked as a nanny with housekeeping and PA experience for over three years prior to becoming a nurse. Due to my experience, I have worked closely with children of all ages, with the youngest being 5 days old and the oldest at 17 years old.
