About Me
My name is Afia Khan. I have always had a passion for looking after and understanding children.
I have many years of experience working with children of all ages. I was a full-time childminder
from 2006 -2010. I decided to stop to pursue my educational ambitions. Since, I have completed
different courses at college and university. Combining my experience and newly acquired skills and knowledge, I aim to create an environment which facilitates children to develop and
thrive. I aim to provide care for children of 0 to 8 years of age from my home.
I live with my husband and my younger son. I have two sons. My eldest son attained his PhD in
neuroscience, from the university of Aston in 2021 and is currently working as Drug Discovery
Scientist at the University of Dundee. My youngest son studied medicine and has recently
graduated. He will soon start as a junior doctor in ARI. My husband is a chef of 25 years and
specialises in Turkish cuisine.
My Experience
