About Me

About us

We live in Tooting Bec, a stones throw from the open spaces of Tooting Common in one direction and the northern line tube in the other, which takes you to central London in 30 minutes or Clapham in 15 minutes.

We’re a busy, happy, and lively family of five and have three wonderful children:
Boy 4 (5 in August)
Boy 2
Girl 9 months (1 in September)

Our eldest son is at school and will start year 1 in September.
Our 2 year old son will move from a Rie/Montessori childminder to a pre-school in September, where he will be there part time.
You will have sole charge of our daughter at all times.

My husband and I work full-time with each of us being in the office half of the week, the other days are often spent working from home.

We have a lovely family home with a garden, dedicated playroom and lots of space for the children.

My Requirements

Registered Childminder
Live In Nanny
Live Out Nanny
Housekeeper
Full Time Nanny

About the role

We are looking for an experienced, caring, energetic and reliable nanny to help us keep the family machine working effectively and lovingly look after our children whilst we’re working.

Ideally looking for 45/50 hours per week (0800-1800, with some flexibility) Monday - Friday. We would consider fewer hours/part-time, if it meant securing the perfect candidate.

You will be the sole carer of our baby daughter each day, with the ability to create and maintain her schedule.

Our 2 year old son will start pre-school at the end of our road in September and will do two half days and one long day per week until January. He will then move to 4 half days and one long day per week. You will be responsible for dropping him at 8.45 and collecting him, creating/organising age appropriate activities for him and his sister when both in your care.

Our eldest son needs to be dropped at 0830 each day and collected at 1615 most days, 1515 if he doesn’t have after school clubs, this can be reached ten minutes on foot.

From time to time we'll ask for ad hoc babysitting and this will be paid separately

*For live in nannies*

A good sized double bedroom and exclusive use of an adjacent bathroom. All food, accommodation, bills, Netflix and WiFi included. We live in an area full of parks, cafes, bars, shops and restaurants, with a plethora of public transport, sports clubs, groups and Tooting Lido very nearby.

Your bedroom and bathroom would be cleaned regularly by our lovely cleaner.

*What we need*

We're looking for someone to join our family for the long term and ultimately care for our children as we do.

The ideal candidate is someone who is nurturing, brings a sense of calm and can use creative ideas to engage the children, yet set clear boundaries.

Someone who is confident and able to prepare healthy, balanced meals and snacks for the children is a must. Comfortable and willing to batch cook where possible.

Organise and facilitate age appropriate activities, clubs and play dates.

Bathe and care for the children, ensuring they are supported in achieving their milestones in our absence.

Ability to organise age appropriate schedules for the children, being flexible when required, but also good at time keeping to maintain sleep patterns etc.

Someone who is passionate about supporting our children with their learning, helping the eldest child with daily reading and homework.

A natural love for children, being happy and comfortable that for 2/3 hours each day all three will be in your care. During school holidays, you would be sole carer for B2 and G1 . B5 would need care from time-to-time, however enjoys undertaking clubs/camps.

Prior experience with early years children is a must, for example have been a previous nanny, a nursery worker or worked in teaching.

Light housework associated with the children (i.e. cleaning up after meal times, do their laundry, tidy away their toys etc). We have a much loved cleaner who has been with us for five years and is very much part of the family.

A driver is nice to have, not essential. The family car could be provided as and when if required.

Salary - to be discussed with each candidate based on whether they are live in or live out and experience.
