About Me

My setting is a bright, spacious home thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of children. The indoor environment is both educational and fun, encouraging learning through play. With a variety of age-appropriate toys and learning materials, children are engaged in activities that support their development and curiosity. The outdoor space is a key part of the day, offering plenty of opportunities for physical activities, bonding games, and social interaction, promoting both physical health and social skills.

Each morning, children visit playgroups or the local Mountsfield Park, where they can explore nature and engage in outdoor play. Snack time is a healthy affair, with a selection of fresh fruits, rice cakes, and raisins to cater to different preferences. The day includes adult-led activities that focus on the 7 areas of development, ensuring that playtime is also an opportunity for learning. A freshly prepared lunch is served daily, offering a balanced meal of protein, vegetables, and carbohydrates. During nap time, each child enjoys a cosy, personalised sleeping mat and bedding, providing comfort and rest.

This routine ensures children thrive both physically and mentally in a nurturing and stimulating environment.

In addition to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment, communication with parents and carers is a key part of my childminding service. Throughout the day, parents receive pictures of their child’s activities and adventures, offering a window into their child’s experience. At pick-up, any questions are addressed, and a brief summary of the child’s day, including details about meals, is shared face-to-face. This ensures parents feel connected and informed about their child’s well-being and development.
