About Me
Hello, my name is Shiyin and I live in Stoneleigh, within walking distance to Stoneleigh train station, with my husband and children.
I love working with children, and have been a Montessori teacher for more than 8 years in Montessori Nursery in London. I decided to become a childminder after having my own two children.
We set up a beautiful environment at home as a Montessori Home-setting Nursery. We have big space downstairs set up with children-sized Furniture, well-arranged Montessori Materials and high quality wooden toys. We follow each individual child's need and make plans to support their development. We also have a large, enclosed garden which is full of outdoor toys and set up activities children love(like riding bikes, tricycle, planting, sensory play).
We also offer children a bilingual environment with English and Mandarin during daily life. Children will receive a rich foundation for language in both English and Mandarin. There is much research on the benefits of bilingual education which include better communication skills and improved cognitive functioning.

I have worked as a nursery teacher for 8 years. I have Master degree of education in pre-school education, and I did my Montessori Diploma Course with AMI in London.

My Availability
We are running 5 days a week, 48 weeks a year, offering 2 sessions: All Day 8:00 - 18:00, or 8:00 - 13:00.
