I am 19 years old and have grown up in an early-years childminder setting and so have been around, and interacting with, a full range of younger children all my life. I have previously worked at a nursery where I was working with children aged from 2-4 years. I am currently studying philosophy at Newcastle University, but will be doing a post-grad in order to become a primary school teacher.
My Experience
I grew up in an early-years childminder setting, where I helped my mum look after the children. For example, I will engage in age-appropriate play and learning activities. Also, I help prepare snacks and meals and assist in any day trips. As the child-minding setting is Ofsted-registered, I have an enhanced DBS certificate which is registered on the update service.
I also worked in a nursery during the summer holidays, where I helped to set up the play areas. I also oversaw lunch time where I was in charge of handing out drinks and snacks, whilst ensuring the children were okay and happy. I was tasked with supervising a small group of children to which I, for example, read stories or imaginative play. Furthermore, I would help supervise the children when playing outside.
My Qualifications
I have 9 GCSES, all of which I received either a grade 8 or 9, and 3 A-Levels, where I received ABB.
My Availability
I am available evenings and weekends.
