My name is Mellissa but often go by Mel!
Growing up in the theatre I’ve always had a very outgoing, fun and bubbly personality- works wonders with the little ones being able to match their imaginations. I am a Canadian citizen who is over in Scotland for two years (hopefully indefinitely) with my Scottish Fiancé, who I met while he was travelling Canada.
I’m fully first aid and CPR certified, and can provide background check for families upon request.
I believe in learning while playing/discovering. Being as creative as I am I find different ways to experience, experiment, and explore with the time I have with kids. For example, who doesn’t love discovering what baking soda and vinegar do when mixed?! I believe in a loving and fostering environment where children can be children.

My Experience
Experienced with all ages.
I’ve worked in many roles with children who have physical disabilities, learning disability and troubled pasts.
My CV includes day care setting with supervision up to 5 kids per adult. At home Nanny care with private homes and of course, being an aunty I’ve had many years of taking care of my nephew who is autistic non-verbal and my sweet niece.
