With over 11 years of experience working in both mainstream and special education as classroom assistant and teacher, I am dedicated to making every child feel heard, valued, and supported. Currently teaching in Upper Key Stage 2, I have worked across all year groups, giving me a broad understanding of different learning needs and styles.
I strive to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive. My approach is child-centered, tailoring lessons to meet the individual needs of each student, helping them to grow in confidence and succeed both academically and personally. I believe in not just teaching subjects but also in fostering a love for learning that stays with students beyond the classroom.

My Experience
With over a decade of working in the education sector experience, I have developed a strong skill set in delivering targeted support to students through a variety of interventions and instructional methods. My experience includes:
Reading and Maths Interventions: Delivering effective 1:1 and small group interventions designed to address specific learning gaps. I focus on building core skills and boosting student confidence, especially in key areas like reading comprehension and maths fluency.
1:1 and Small Group Instruction: Providing personalized attention to students who need extra support, ensuring their unique challenges are addressed. I tailor my teaching to their learning pace and abilities, helping them overcome struggles and build a solid foundation for future learning.
Whole Class Teaching: Leading whole class lessons that engage students of all abilities. I ensure that all my lessons are inclusive, stimulating, and aligned with the National Curriculum while also incorporating strategies to meet individual needs.
Lesson Planning and Differentiation: I design engaging lessons that are both curriculum-focused and responsive to students’ individual weaknesses. My planning process revolves around identifying students' struggles and turning them into strengths through targeted, creative approaches.
Assessment Preparation and Support: I have experience in planning for termly assessments, helping students prepare for tests, and using the results to inform future teaching. I support both teachers and students in using assessments to guide learning progress and set achievable goals.
