About Me
I am a 22-year-old trainee primary school teacher looking to gain some extra money to fund my student year and provide families with safe and happy child care! I am a very enthusiastic and caring individual who adores working with children. I am very into fitness, cooking, reading and arts and crafts.
My Experience
I have worked at an afterschool and holiday club since I was 15, working with primary school children and assisting in their play, providing them with snack and arranging activities for them to complete. Throughout the summer of 2024 I have worked as an agency nursery staff, working across various different local nurseries with children aged 5 months-5 years. I have adored this role, being able to gain more experience with pre-school aged children and provide them with a loving shoulder to lean on while they may feel homesick. Furthermore, in the summer of 2022 I volunteered at a kindergarten in Sri Lanka with pre-school aged children. I loved this, despite there being a definite language barrier, I was able to experience different cultures of childcare and develop relationships with the children through play and expressions.
My Qualifications
I have 9x GCSES, 3x A levels and an undergraduate degree in Human and Social Sciences from Cardiff University. I am currently completing my post-grad PGCE in primary school education (aged 3-11 years) at Bath Spa University.
My Availability
Due to completing my PGCE in the coming September, I will only be available to provide care for your children in weekday evenings/afterschool and over weekends. If this is something you are looking for please do not hesitate to get in contact :)
