About Me
My name is Megan and I am an Ofsted registered childminder. I have worked in early years for 6 years, starting off as a level 3 apprentice then gaining my qualification and eventually becoming Room leader/Deputy manager. Recently, I became a mum to a beautiful little girl who has become my inspiration in swapping from my role in a nursery to opening my own childminding business.
We live in Brislington, just up the road from West town lane school, in a lovely home with accessible garden. I offer a home from home environment where children will be encouraged, supported and nurtured to allow them to thrive. Focusing on learning through play with a variety of activities based around the EYFS, where the child's interests and passions are used to build a unique curriculum which can help mould the child's development, making them the pilots of their early learning journey. By using this approach, I believe it creates a child centred way of learning where the child feels safe, secure, happy and loved.
My Experience
Throughout my 6 years in early years I've expand my knowledge with the EYFS, birth to five, safeguarding, first aid and food hygiene. I will continue to add to my knowledge with different training which will be beneficial to your childs learning.
