About Me
I am a qualified occupational therapist with 15 years childcare experience working with adults and children with disabilities and with behaviours that challenge.
I am seeking additional part time work as a carer / babysitter in Canterbury area for weekends and / or evenings.
I am especially interested in working with children with additional care needs and able to provide particular skills in engaging children in appropriate activities, teaching independent skills, sensory processing activities to enable improved regulation.
I have an enhanced DBS, basic life support for children, first aid training and currently employed for a London local authority as an occupational therapist working with both children and adults.
I have lots of free time, live in Canterbury, I don’t currently drive, reliable, friendly, kind and passionate about supporting others to live a meaningful fully engaged life.

• volunteered in India as a care worker for children living in an orphanage for 3 months (2020)
• volunteered in Thailand as a care worker for a day nursery for children under 5 whose mothers were placed within the local prison (2019)
• worked as a special needs camp leader in Camp America (2018) for 4 months
• paid work on part time basis as PA for various children with additional needs
• occupational therapy experience includes local authorities (assessing and providing manual handling equipment, home safety adaptations, specialist seating), special education settings providing sensory assessment and interventions, ADHD initial screening assessments,
