About Me
Hi there,
My name is Emma and I’m a friendly, caring person who is just about to finish my Masters in Speech Therapy! I’m looking for some part time childcare work until I receive my accreditation to practice. I love spending time with children and am truly young at heart myself, taking great joy in all childish activities, games, crafts etc. Children respond well to me in both professional and non-professional settings and I understand the boundaries that need to be set to ensure safety and routine.
My Experience
I have worked with children for over 6 years:
- I was an au pair for four children for 9 months, involving school drop offs/pick ups, homework, cooking, activities, day trips, bed time.
- I worked as a teaching assistant for a year in Paris as part of my year abroad, independently running English classes.
- I worked as a summer camp teacher/activity leader for 3 months two years in a row (2017 & 2018)
- I worked as an ESL teacher and head teacher of a centre for 3 years in Vietnam, teaching English and managing teachers in my centre.
- I have also worked in 3 schools
(2x SEN) as a speech therapist on placement as part of my Masters.

BA English Language, Linguistics and French (University of Kent)
MSc Speech Therapy (UCL)
200hr TEFL
