My Experience
I have extensive hands-on experience supporting children, young people, and adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism, ADHD, Global Developmental Delay, Apraxia, Cerebral Palsy, and Down syndrome. I have supported both verbal and non-verbal individuals, as well as those with English as an additional language, and have basic knowledge of Makaton.
I am also currently a year 2 Speech and Language Therapy student.
SEND Nanny Roles
Snap Care – Xxxxx family (2019 – Present): Long-term support for a family of three children including a 15-year-old on the Autism spectrum. I’ve provided sole and shared care, supported challenging behaviours, managed sibling dynamics, facilitated play and outings, assisted with homework, and maintained a nurturing home environment.
Xxxxx Family (2024 – Present): Providing complex care to an 18-year-old with Scoliosis, Apraxia, and Hearing and Communication needs. My responsibilities include PEG feeding, administering medication, hoisting, supporting her interests, and ensuring comfort and safety during on-call nights.
Xxxxx Family (2021 – 2022): Sole care of a 10-year-old with Cerebral Palsy, including gastrostomy feeding, administering medication, night monitoring, and personal care.
Other Nanny Placements: Temporary and short-term roles with families supporting children on the Autism spectrum , managing emotional and behavioural needs, and maintaining structured routines.
Speech and Language Therapy Assistant Role
Oxleas NHS / London South East Colleges (2021 – 2023): Multidisciplinary therapy assistant (Speech and Language, OT, Physio) working with a diverse caseload of students. Responsibilities included delivering therapy programmes, managing AAC devices, assisting with hoisting and physical therapy, creating visual and Makaton resources, data recording (NHS RiO), and liaising with professionals to support EHCP goals.

My Availability
