About Me

I am an experienced and dedicated childcare professional with a strong background in both childcare and healthcare. As a mother of two grown children, one currently in secondary school and the other a successful entrepreneur, singer, and artist, I understand the unique needs and challenges that come with raising children of all ages.

In my earlier career, I spent many years working as a Nursery Nurse, where I nurtured and cared for young children in various educational settings. I then transitioned into healthcare and became a qualified Psychiatric Nurse, a field in which I am currently pursuing a PhD. I am now seeking to step back from my current role as a nurse and return to working more closely with children, a passion of mine.

I am a kind, caring individual who loves working with children of all ages. I’m fun and adventurous, and enjoy engaging with kids in a variety of activities, including swimming, picnics, library visits, and exploring museums. For over four years, I ran a successful toddler group at my local church, providing a safe and enriching environment for young children to grow and develop.

With my extensive experience in both childcare and healthcare, combined with my warm and nurturing personality, I am confident in my ability to provide excellent care to your family. I am excited to bring my skills, love for children, and passion for learning into a nannying role.

My Experience

As a Nursery Nurse in private nurseries in Wandsworth, I was responsible for planning and delivering weekly learning objectives tailored to each child’s developmental stage, in alignment with the Early Years Statutory Framework (EYFS). I supported children's growth by fostering key early childhood development goals such as communication, physical development, and social skills. I was also highly involved in safeguarding, regularly attending child protection meetings to ensure the safety and well-being of children under my care. Additionally, I provided pastoral care for children who were unwell, ensuring their health, hygiene, and emotional needs were met. My role included monitoring their progress and collaborating with parents and professionals to provide the best care possible.

My Qualifications

I hold a Level 2 qualification as a Nursery Practitioner, which provided me with a solid foundation in early childhood education and care. This qualification equipped me with essential skills in supporting children's development, planning age-appropriate activities, and working closely with parents and other professionals to ensure a safe, nurturing environment.

In addition, I completed a Level 4 qualification in Health and Social Care, expanding my knowledge of healthcare settings and enhancing my ability to work with vulnerable populations. This course provided me with a deeper understanding of safeguarding, person-centred care, and the importance of health and well-being in a social care context.

Moreover, I hold a BSc in Psychiatric Nursing, which has given me the expertise to work with individuals experiencing mental health challenges. This qualification has allowed me to develop critical skills in mental health care, patient management, and the delivery of therapeutic interventions, as well as gain experience in various healthcare settings. These qualifications have collectively enriched my ability to offer comprehensive care and support, whether working with young children or in health and social care environments.
