About Me
I am a newly Ofsted registered Childminder in Hoddesdon. I have 3 children of my own, aged between 10 and 3. I have a good sized garden, and a playroom with a wide range of indoor and outdoor toys and activities.
I have all the relevant certificates in childcare, including my DBS and First Aid. These are available upon request
My Experience
I have 3 young children of my own and have experience of looking after children of my friends and family over the years. Since having my first child 10 years ago, I have spent a lot of my free time reading various books, and researching about child development. I have always had an interest n Child Psychology and teaching. I have passed the first stage in teaching swimming and volunteered for a short time in a school.
I believe in a child led approach, where they get to explore the world around them at a pace that suits them. I encourage children to try and learn how to do things for themselves, whilst being aware of what is developmentally appropriate for them. I try to get out as much as possible, which includes parks, farms etc, but I also have plenty of toys to play with at home, as well arts and crafts to do.
My Qualifications
- Paediatric First Aid
- All relevant CPD certified training required to be Ofsted registered, which includes (but not limited to) Safeguarding Children, Food Hygiene and attachment Theory.
My Availability
Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 6.30pm (Although I can do some Fridays if available)
I can do drop off/pick up at Cranbourne.
