About Me
Hello, I have been a Science teacher for over 20 years starting in secondary education and then transitioning into primary education for the last nine years. I have three older children aged 17,15 and 12 and two stepchildren aged 8 and 6. I love my work as it has enabled me to support children via their education but also their wellbeing. I am now looking for opportunities to support local families by providing a more direct personal approach via homeschooling or tutoring, offering wellbeing sessions with a focus on sound meditation allowing children/parents to interact with gongs and crystal bowls as appropriate to aid sleep, mental health, family connections and confidence or by providing a personal programme of activities that are age and interest specific to your child… perhaps their interest in cooking, dancing, bush craft, sport, nature, science? Let me know as I thoroughly enjoy thinking outside the box and working in a cross curriculum manner.
My Experience
As I have mentioned I have over 20 years direct experience as a teacher across all age ranges. I am primarily a science teacher but have also taught Design Technology, Art, Woodwork, STEM and Coding/Computing at primary settings.
I have experience of working with SEN children and love to see how they can blossom with support and understanding.
I also have 5 children so understand the strains on time whilst trying to raise small children and juggle working life.
I regularly work at children’s festivals either providing science, art or sound meditation sessions… even baking and hosting an Enid Blyton themed midnight feast for over 40 families one year.

My Availability
I am currently working out my notice until Dec 2024 at a Prep school in Tunbridge Wells (Mon/Tue/Wed) so would be open to discussing any opportunities based on a Thursday and Friday but from January 2025 my availability will open up so please approach me with your needs.
