About Me
About us and the child
We are family of three and our only son Henley is currently 3 y and 7 m old. We just moved to Romsey.
Henley is a very positive, happy and active boy. He likes to play, laugh, run and use his energy. He is bright and engaged. He wants to try everything and goes beyond his abilities to try to do something, often trying the hardest way to challenge himself. He has a good sense of humour, is curious and will happily read, play floor games and do something new, but most often likes to race, climb, jump, play football, catch and other ball games; anything where he can move and use his energy. He is very advanced with anything physical and picks it up easily. He loves attention and someone to show him new things and help him develop and learn. This suits someone who likes an active, bright boy and who is happy to join in with physical games like football and chasing. He likes to go on daily outings and see something new.
My Requirements
Expectations and duties
We are searching for someone who is positive, happy and creative in thinking up new games and learning opportunities and who would like to help the child develop and become the amazing person he can be. Someone who is ready to let him push his limits and try new things, but also be there for him to catch him when needed. The nanny will know that the child needs freedom as much as he needs boundaries to find his own way in life and learns to make the right choices and he/she will be able to find that balance which is not limiting but energizing. Henley needs a friend, a playmate, a solid long-term presence, a guide for life and someone he can always rely on and learn the right things from. This will be someone experienced, mature, emotionally stable but also energetic, open, and young-minded.
There is a garden, toys, basketball ring, bike, scooter, books (and anything else needed can be provided) and lots of facilities close by such as playing fields, walks, skate park and so on. Henley is used being outside with any weather and is a keen walker. We would be happy if he could spend as much time as possible playing outside and enjoy the nature. We do have playroom in the house for Henley. A car can be provided if required and there is a bus route within a short walking distance, it is five minutes to the city and the house is in a safe estate location.
We’ll be looking for someone who can do around 16-20 h per week. Henley does go to nursery (currently 4x per week in the mornings). All school holidays we will be out of the country.
