My Experience
As a mum of three children, two girls (high-school and pre-school) and one boy (primary school), I completely understand that no two children are the same. Separate to my experience as a mum and with babies and children of family and friends, whilst completing my English and Contemporary Media degree, I worked as a volunteer in a Primary School in Cardiff, supporting the teachers from nursery to year 6 as a teaching assistant. I also created an English Buddy session where I provided additional lessons to children who required additional support with their English work and to a class of children where English was not their first language.
