In 2003 I began my teaching in a deprived area of Leeds, working with challenging students, followed by a move to Manchester, during which time I also ran a youth theatre for children at risk. Relocating to Horsham, I initially taught in one of the state schools here before commencing a national education project in the museums sector. Thereafter, I taught for a long stint as Head of Drama at a local private school. Recently I have worked for Sustrans as a bike mechanic and cycle skills facilitator for young people alongside working as a primary school teacher.
I have just started a counselling qualification in order to grow my skills and compliment my classroom practice.
